The Civic cinema/theatre was built in 2001 and is situated in the heart of Gunnedah. Patrons to the cinema are able to enjoy The Civics' programming of new releases, art-house and archival films in an intimate atmosphere and luxurious seating. The Civic boasts high-tech digital projection, surround sound and very comfortable seating for up to 140 people.The Theatre comprises a very well-equipped stage for touring and local theatrical productions and with its superb acoustics it is a popular venue for live music. Informal functions are well suited to the light contemporary space of The Civics' foyer and adjacent Mooki room. Additional meetings and meal rooms are also available within the complex to compliment cinema and theatre functions.

Gunnedah Bicentennial Creative Arts Centre features two galleries and an arts studio space.
The Creative Arts Centre is run by Gunnedah Shire Council and Arts Gunnedah. The galleries exhibit diverse collections of works, featuring local and regional artists, emerging Australian artists, collective community exhibitions and houses the Gunnedah Community Collection.
The Arts Studio Space hosts regular Arts Workshops and School Holiday Program Art Classes. This room is available for hire.
The Creative Arts Gallery consists of a foyer and Gallery with adjoining kitchen, meeting room and artist’s studio with reverse cycle air-conditioning. The Gallery is suited to medium sized exhibitions, seminars and social functions and as a small break room for conferences.
The Mooki Room is situated between the Gallery and the Theatre and provides additional space for either venue or can be used independently for meeting and private functions.

Built in the 1920's, the Town Hall has recently been lovingly upgraded, breathing new life into Gunnedah's Cultural Precinct. The Town Hall stands proudly as a testament to Gunnedah's architectural and civic heritage; with its period features and classic charm resonating with locals and visitors alike. Featuring a vast dance floor, air conditioning and heating, the Town Hall is an ideal venue for hosting special events, conferences, concerts, balls and civic events.
The Smithurst Theatre is the 'little sister' of the Town Hall and regularly hosts meetings and activities for the Gunnedah community. This venue can also be hired for commercial use.
