Gunnedah Shire Council is in a key position to play a part in shaping a community that is supportive of young people. We can create welcoming places for youth to 'hang out'; provide safe and accessible youth events and programs; facilitate activities and programs that support the mental health and wellbeing of young people; and offer recreational and sporting options that cater for both physical and social needs. We also advocate of behalf of youth issues that fall beyond our direct sphere of influence - such as transport, education and affordable housing.
Youth Services is committed to helping Gunnedah's youth to expand their educational and cultural knowledge as well as boosting their understanding and appreciation of their peers through support programs such as the Aboriginal Cultural Exchange and the 2014 Bush-to-Beach Youth Exchange
Youth Services is dedicated to providing information, education and engaging experiences to the youth of Gunnedah in a fun and supportive environment.
